Do You Own a Real Business Credit Card?

Do you own a business credit card? If you are a business owner, the chances are good that you own a credit card exclusive to your business. But is that a real business credit card? The truth is business credit cards are designed to fit the needs of businesses and not consumers. But a few credit card companies offer glorified consumer credit cards as business credit cards, which means you are getting a card that may be good but not great for your business.

You can find out if you are using a real business credit card by checking its application page. Any credit card that does not ask you for your Employee Identification Number for tax purposes is not a real business credit cards. In addition, some of these companies do not report anything but derogatory items to the credit bureau which means you may not get to build, rebuild your credit with these guys. At the end of the day, real business credit cards are the ones that are designed to bring the maximum financial flexibility.
