All About Visa and Beijing Olympics

Filed Under (Credit Cards Blog) by creditblogger on 01-07-2008

Are you planning a trip to Beijing for the Olympics? If you are, you should know that Visa is the official sponser of the Olympics. That means that only Visa credit cards are accepted at the Olympics venue and on their online store. Soon, Olympics Visa credit cards will be out around the world. But even if you don’t get one of those credit cards, here are a few reasons you may want to consider taking a Visa with you to Beijing:

  • Visa has worked very hard to make their partnership with the Olympics a success. They have installed Visa ATMs around the city to make it easy for people to access funds on their Visa credit cards.
  • Visa is the only accepted card at the Olympics venue in addition to cash. Now I am not sure how they strict they will be on this, but there is a good chance that your MasterCard won’t be accepted that the games venue.
  • Visa has put together the Visa Olympics Games Password that includes tips on how to enjoy a better experience at the Olympics. For intance, this little booklet tells you who to call if you lose your card in addition to guides on where to shop and the location of ATMs. Who wouldn’t want to have this information handy in a foreign country.

Olympics 2008 is going to be a fun event. So make sure that you don’t take any unnecessary risks by leaving behind your Visa credit card (actually don’t forget the other Visa as well). Not everyone’s going to get a chance to see the games, so if you are, you need a Visa!
