Advanta was at it again this year at DEMO Fall 08 as they announced their most recent product for small businesses. Even though Advanta is a credit card company that focuses on small business credit cards, they focus on innovative methods to attract and retain small business customers. BizEquity which was launched earlier this month allows you to get a ballpark valuation for businesses in the U.S. The site is brand new and a work in progress and suprisingly doesn’t show the value of Advanta Bank Corp. when we searched for it.

The numbers can also be off a little, but overall it’s a very good free tool to get a sense about the value of businesses that are in its database. But I do anticipate the service to be improved dramatically in the upcoming month.
