Escape By Discover® Card

Escape by Discover® Card is the latest offering by the Discover Bank. In a time where credit card companies are hurting and discontinuing their offers, it’s good to know that there is a credit card issuer that is dedicated in providing credit to those seeking it. While many credit card issuers are struggling to stay afloat (e.g. Advanta), Discover is still going strong and Escape by Discover® Card indicates just that.

Escape by Discover® Card is a travel credit card that is designed to get you free miles for every purchase. You not only get 25,000 bonus months in your first 25 months, you also earn miles on all your purchases. You can redeem your points for travel or gift certificates.

Here is what you get with Escape by Discover® Card:

  • Introductory APR: you get 0% APR for your first 6 on your purchases and balance transfers.
  • 25,000 Bonus Miles: 1,000 Miles each month you make a purchase the first 25 months
  • Unlimited Double Miles on all purchases: Earn 2 Miles for each dollar you spend on all purchases. Miles have no expiration date
  • No Blackout: Book any travel, anytime with no blackout dates or restrictions
  • Additional Miles: 2 additional Miles for every $1 you spend through ShopDiscover, our exclusive online shopping site
  • Enhanced travel benefits
  • Convenience: Redeem for travel credits to your account, gift cards from any of our 90 brand-name Partners or cash starting at just 1,000 Miles
  • $60 Annual Fee

You will have to pay $60 annual fee to get all these benefits. It’s not ideal, but you are getting a whole lot of rewards in return. The APR after the introductory period is set at 11.99% minimum. So you don’t want to park a lot of money on this card. Escape by Discover® Card is designed for those who are constantly on the go. If you are looking for a travel card that gives you rewards and flexibility, you should consider signing up for this card.
