American Express Cards Get Better

Written on July 21, 2008 – 10:57 am | by creditblogger |

American express has just improved a few of their cards by offering more competitive terms. American express cards are very competitive as far as APRs and fees are concerned, but they are just a little bit better now that AMEX has improved the terms:

  • Blue From American Express: The general APR has been lowered to 8.99%. With the introductory rate of 0% for 15 months and low balance transfer APR, this card is the most popular credit card that AMEX has to offer.
  • Blue Cash From American Express: The only major weakness that this card had was the short introductory period of 6 months with 0% APR. American Express has fixed that by doubling the period. Blue Cash and Blue Sky are usually the first cards for the first time credit card owners.
  • Blue Sky AMEX Card: The credit card for travelers now comes with 12 months of 0% APR and the regular APR has come down for 9.99% to 8.99%.
  • Clear From American Express: American Express has reduced its APR from 10.99% to 9.99%.

I am sure American Express will also better their offers for us business owners. But for now, American express is focusing on making their APR deals more competitive. Have you gotten any of these cards? Which one is your favorite?
